In it's official definition, "tweed is a rough, woolen fabric, of a soft, open, flexible texture, resembling cheviot or homespun, but more closely woven. It is usually woven with a plain weave, twill or herringbone structure. Color effects in the yarn may be obtained by mixing dyed wool before it is spun."
Tweed. It's definitely our favorite fabric to use when building or refurbishing furniture. Why? It's durable, quality fabric that almost everyone can agree on! Our favorite color to use is gray.... and we use many shades of gray (NOT 50 Shades of Gray, but close!). What is your favorite color of tweed? What is your favorite furniture fabric?
