Question: What classifies an item as vintage, anyway?
For listing purposes, at Lewis Interiors we consider anything that is not being currently made, produced, or in production at the present time "vintage". This means that even if something was made last year - and is not being made this year - it will be considered vintage for listing and searching purposes. Discontinued items become hard to find, and can be categorized as such - as long as you are representing the item to the best of your ability. It is important to add as much info as possible when listing items in an online platform, such as mentioning the year, model, and condition if possible. There are usually no discrepancies between the buyer and seller if as much information as possible is disclosed. While we could pontificate on what the "true" definition of vintage is, and we all certainly have our own opinions, this is our working definition when listing our items on various eCommerce platforms.
